Spending: Patience

Patience is Virtue in Spending - Money Talks - Book Review The Gospel according to Matthew records Jesus saying, “…do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?—Matthew 6:25-26. I can honestly say this scripture has been my life since I accepted the vocation to be a pastor. I rarely purchase impulse gifts. In fact, I generally put items in a virtual cart and leave them there for weeks or months to see if that's still something I want. Consequently, every need: food, clothing, and shelter has been provided by God in a generous manner to myself and my family, so I want for nothing, and I am grateful for everything!!
